Cathedral, Beach, Sunset 07-02-15

First, we visited St Nicholas Cathedral which is located in Newcastle Upon Tyne. It is open from the early morning as a place of quiet away from the busy city.

There are many beautiful stained glass windows around the cathedral. The one thing you always have to do when in a cathedral is look up.

After looking round the whole cathedral we headed off to the metro station where we made our way to Tynemouth. Every weekend Tynemouth metro station holds over 150 market stalls selling everything you need.

My friend Liam also took this opportunity to buy a film camera for only £15. After we had a look round all the stalls we set off to the beach. We visited the King Edwards Bay first which is quiet and small compared to the main beach.

We walked around the front, heading to the main beach, Longsands, where there is also an old outdoor swimming pool.

The outdoor pool was originally built in the 20s but was used till the late 80s and was later  filled with rocks. it is now a place where you can get close to the waves and view the whole beach.

After spending a few hours at the beach we decided to get the metro back to Newcastle just in time for the sunset.
